Course Description

Continuity

Second Saturday of the month. 7 AM – 2 PM.

PVC, Solder, Braze certs no scheduling necessary.

Welding certs need to be scheduled before noon on Friday.

Tube bending and PVDF need to be scheduled.

Detailing Test

You will have 3 hours to complete the proctored detailing assessment and time does not stop for personal breaks. You will be provided with all necessary tools and documentation- There are no digital devices are permitted.

Financial Prosperity

A variety of classes intended to give an understanding of investing principles, budgeting, and debt management to lead our members into further financial prosperity.

GF/IR Fusion

This is a 20-hour course for qualifying to ASME B31.3 IR Fusion for PVDF, PP, and PE pipe and fittings. Successful candidates will be issued procedure qualification records for IR Fusion.

Hand Detailing

This class will introduce students to concepts of field layout, creating standardized ISO drawings, routing, benchmarks, and reference points.

Orbital Welding

This class will cover automatic orbital welding safe practices and equipment use, using the ARC 207, 217, CSI, and Orbitalum machines. Certification for the UA-18A test will be administered after all pipe sizes have been demonstrated and approved by the instructor.

OSHA 30

This course provides the OSHA outreach training for the OSHA 30 Card. Students who successfully complete this course will obtain an OSHA 30-hour card from an authorized OTI.

P.I.P.E. – Backflow Repairer

Managed through P.I.P.E. 30-hour class for individuals currently holding Backflow Assembly Tester Certification.

P.I.P.E. – Backflow Tester Certification

Managed through P.I.P.E. A class intended to prepare students to achieve their Backflow Tester Certification.

P.I.P.E. – City of Phoenix Mechanical & Gas Code Journeyman License Review

Managed through P.I.P.E. Provides a working knowledge of the 2018 IMC & IFGC for preparation to take the City of Phoenix licensing exam.

P.I.P.E. – First Aid/CPR Training

Managed through P.I.P.E. Gives instruction on CPR for adults, children, and infants; choking; recognition, prevention, and treatment of cardiopulmonary emergencies and stroke.

P.I.P.E. – Plastic Bonding Certification

Class required to get your P.I.P.E. plastic bonding certification. Managed through P.I.P.E.

P.I.P.E. – Safety Training

A series of safety courses managed through P.I.P.E.

P.I.P.E. – SSTA Backflow Recertification

Managed through P.I.P.E. An 8-hour class to recertify for Backflow.

Reality Capture/Laser Scanning

Students will perform laser scanning in the field and transfer this data to the computer. A Faro laser scanning certificate will be a part of the successful completion of this course.

Revit and Advanced Revit

This course will familiarize students with Revit software and the basic functions of navigating, setting up a file structure, working with the interface, creating a piping model, and producing drawings from the model.

Autodesk Certified Instructors. Program familiarity, basic functions, content creation and coordination, sheet creation and annotation.

Semiconductor Awareness Training

The 4 hour Semiconductor Awareness Training will be held based off of contractor demand.

Summer Tech Series

A series of classes where students will familiarize themselves with the basic functions of software such as Navisworks Freedom, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Basics, and Service & Field Verification Technology.

Tube Bending

Introduction to the progressive method of bending tubing.

UA/EPRI Industrial Rigging and Re-Cert Exam

This is an accelerated Journeyman upgrade class for members who are experienced and proficient at Rigging/Signaling and are seeking the certification from the UA & EPRI.

UA/MCAA Foreman Cert and Re-Cert

The UA/MCAA Foreman certification course is designed to provide current supervision and prospective supervision the necessary information to improve their current performance and the leadership skills to run an effective crew. VDC Boot Camp

Students will be introduced to the basics of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit programs – Prerequisite course for Revit or Advanced Revit. Autodesk Certified Instructors.

Weld Lab Hours

Weld lab is open to any member in good standing. During the Apprentice semester booth priority goes to those currently enrolled in a class.

Mon-Thur: 7am – 8pm

Fri: 7am – 1pm

Sat: 6am – 12pm
